Get the console sound

All-analogue Air with relay-controlled circuitry is the engineer’s secret weapon. It captures transients on drums, makes vocals shine, and ensures a precise, clear recording. When Air is engaged the Clarett+ OctoPre switches impedance to 2.2kΩ and adds two cumulative high shelves, totalling a 4dB boost in the high frequencies, which recreates the sound of the classic Focusrite ISA 110.

Track through your favourite outboard

Clarett+ OctoPre’s eight dedicated channel inserts allow you to easily add analogue equipment to the signal path. Our flexible insert design reduces the need for a patchbay as inserts are switchable — so you spend less time reaching around the rear of the unit. Leave your outboard plugged in and simply press the button to bypass it.

Maintain your signature style

Exceptional D-A conversion ensures that audio quality is preserved when sending audio to analogue compressors, EQs and effects. You can easily process audio in your signature style and benefit from integrating your outboard into your workflow to achieve accurate results. JFET instrument inputs capture the true characteristics of guitars. The wide input bandwidth retains the purity of high frequencies and feels like you are plugging straight into an amp. Connect OctoPre to any of the other Clarett+ range to have four instrument inputs at your disposal. Perfect for DI multitracking – the band can perform together and capture the essence of the moment in a clear, clean, and accurate recording.

Premium-quality over ADAT

Add Clarett+ OctoPre to a 2Pre, 4Pre or 8Pre to expand your I/O easily and consistently via ADAT. Non-Clarett+ users can upgrade to a professional standard by connecting to any ADAT-enabled interface, bringing the classic Focusrite sound to their recordings as well as the premium quality offered by Clarett+ OctoPre.
